Tolland Coated Systems, LLC was organized in 2002 to serve a few select clients in New England involved in high performance coated and laminated textiles. The company's main objective was and still is to provide its clients with innovative technical product concepts to ensure economic viability in an industry suffering from stiff overseas competition and geographical migration. The company's strategy for successfully doing so is based on a two pronged approach. First, by concentrating on technically sophisticated products that employ higher performance chemistries and materials, so that once a development achieves a level of success it would be that much harder to be reproduced by any would-be competitor. Second, by encouraging a higher degree of vertical integration down to the compounding level, or even perhaps to the resin synthesis level, significant raw material savings would be realized, thus making pricing correspondingly competitive and the technological foundation of the product all the more proprietary and secure.

Over the past 11 years, Tolland Coated Systems, LLC has developed numerous successful adhesive and coating compositions, coated and laminated products, and intellectual properties for its clients. It's senior-most member consultant with his 35 years industry experience has also provided expert witness services in support of several legal matters, including patent infringement and product defect disputes. A more recent notable case involved expert reports preparation, and extensive deposition and at-trial expert testimony for a high industry profile client represented by a top ranked international law firm.
